How to book an appointment

All surgeries are by appointment only. To make an appointment please telephone 02392 583333, call in personally or via our on-line booking (Patient Access). At present appointments are released each day at 10.30 so one of our team may prompt you to ring back at this time, this is however, subject to change.

Routine consultations are for 10 minutes. If you feel you need to spend longer with the doctor or nurse please inform the Care Navigator at the time of booking.

Our Care Navigator's are here to book your appointment with the most appropriate clinician/Healthcare Professional so will ask a brief history to aid the booking process,  please click here for FAQ's

  • If you are late you may be asked to make a new appointment.
  • If you are unable to keep your appointment please let us know as soon as possible so another patient can be seen in your place.

Online - Patient Access

The practice is pleased to announce that we have an on-line booking system. This will enable you to book, check and cancel appointments online 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. This service has been provided to allow you access to available appointments over the internet.

The system allows you to book either a telephone consultation (GP will ring you back so you must provide a contact number in the reason box) or routine (come down to the surgery) appointment with the doctor of your choice for up to three weeks ahead.

Inappropriate use of this access system can lead to removal of your ability to book appointments on-line.

FOR ALL APPOINTMENTS PLEASE KEEP IT OR CANCEL IT

Seeing the Doctor

The doctor may be consulted at the surgery by appointment. A routine appointment will be offered but please inform the receptionist if you feel the problem is more urgent. You may then be assessed by our Emergency Team.

You may express a preference of doctor and the practice will endeavour to comply though it may not always be possible especially in the event of a medical emergency.

Should you need transport after your appointment we have a freephone service situated in the entrance of the surgery for you to ring a taxi.

Missed Appointments

Thankyou to the vast majority of our patients who attend their appointments or cancel if no longer needed. Unfortunately we have a significant minority who are failing to atend their appointments.

If you fail to attend 2 appointments in a 6-month period with a nurse, doctor or for blood tests you will be sent a warning letter.

If within 6 months of this warning letter you miss another appointment you will be removed from our practice list.

Last month ... patients did not cancel their appointments. These appointments could have been offered to other patients to avoid wasting valuable GP and Nurse time
